  • You can contribute to Empower Tanzania while effectively lowering your tax liability. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a tax-smart giving option. To be eligible, you must be 70 ½ years of age or older at the time of distribution. Total charitable gifts cannot exceed $100,000 per taxpayer each year and gifts must be outright and transferred directly from your IRA account to Empower Tanzania.
